“Lisbon to Athens – Including a Spain Solar Eclipse” August 9 ~ August 22, 2026 8/18/24 v2 Tons of opportunities to revisit amazing cities and for
new experiences – Imagine arriving to explore our visually &
culturally rich starting point of Lisbon, Portugal – then to explore
the 7000+ year old city of Athens, Greece!! Then combine it all with the
science of an Eclipse in Spain!
Combined with amazing embarkation and disembarkation cities – there is SO much to explore on this adventure!
~ Do You Need Travel Insurance? ~
One option is Trip Insurance. There are other choices, but we offer Travel Guard for informational purposes. With many great particulars about this event, I think it’s easier to simply write almost a list. In that – we sail from lovely Lisbon, Portugal; an easy to get to embarkation city; we sail on a 1964 passenger ship (as opposed to a gargantuan); enjoy a 13 day cruise with 5 days at sea which all means loads of time to intimately engage with one another and guests; then eight ports to engage more so or explore; includes an astonishing event such as a solar eclipse, a private area for eclipse viewing; even better is that we’ll once again have very cool/friendly amateur & professional astronomer scientists, an astronaut and a family of dedicated travelers who are also eclipse chasers in our private area to engage with as well! Then there is the optional choices to attend an astronomy conference program sponsored by Sky & Telescope and produced by Insight Cruises – want to immerse yourself into exoplanets, the Webb telescope, travels to Mars and ask an astronaut questions? Yes, we are a crossover event. So we have a terrific opportunity to once again enjoy several different cultures and languages, revisit places we’ve been to before, explore some new ports, learn something about our galaxy, leave our comfort zone and get real science! Our last Eclipse experience is still a highlight – right!!??
